How to meditate longer duration

Many people think mediation is waste of time, even if they tried to meditate for some time. They could see the mind is wandering thinking about the past or the future. So they think mediation caused more headache and stress. They skip doing it. It is not true. The mind always tries to help you the best possible ways it always analyzes the past events and tries to fix the future. It forgets how to be in the present. We can bring our mind to preset using the breathing as the technique.

Here are the steps for the doing the meditation keep some calm and relaxing music running in the background without any background noise, make sure no one is disturbing you, remind them to not to disturb you for the some duration also it is better to keep and alarm or reminder for some 20 minutes to be begin with. So now have fixed 20 minutes duration for yourself. You can sit down on the comfortable chair or lie down, close your eyes, concentrate on your breathing take a deep breath by inhaling for the count of 4 and exhale through the mouth for the count of 4 and keep doing this for some 5-6 counts. Just focus on your breathing nothing else. Feel the sensation of air flowing in and out. Your mind tries to wander here and there it is just a natural process, bring your attention back to your breathing back and relax your entire body. When your doing it your mind thinks some urgent issue is pending need to finish it and this meditation is waste of time and it almost makes you to break out from the meditation. Think once again you already have dedicated 20 mins time for your self. you can do the tasks later it is the time to focus and concentrate on the breathing.
